Michigan Computer Forensics Programs
- While car manufacturing, farming and fishing are three of Michigan’s major industries, computer forensics is a rapidly growing field in this state as well. There is an increasing need for trained computer forensic professionals, especially in the state of Michigan where jobs in forensics continue to increase.
- There are four universities in the state of Michigan that offer computer forensic degree or certificate programs. These include: University of Phoenix in Detroit which offers a bachelor’s in information technology/Information Systems Security program; Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti which has a School of Computer Forensics Investigations; Walsh College in Troy which offers a Master of Science in Information Assurance, Digital Forensics Track; and Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor which has a Computer Forensics (CVCFC) Advanced Certificate.
- Aside from these four universities in Michigan, there are a variety of online programs available. With a flexible curriculum that students can complete on their schedule, online colleges seem to be beating campus schools to the punch with computer forensic degrees.
