Computer Forensics in California State

Specific California Computer Forensics Information
There are many computer forensic firms and experts serving the state of California. In addition to those working in the private sector there are also the computer forensic experts working in law enforcement. Working in local, state, and federal realms, these individuals might work for less immediate compensation, but pension and health care benefits ensure that they will be taken care of down the road. Not to say that the private sector doesn’t have competitive benefit programs, but usually law enforcement agencies are unionized and have well established plans for their employees.
Pay for computer forensic examiners working independently from law enforcement is typically making significantly more up front, some even making near and above the six figure mark.
In California State, the Attorney General operates an advanced training facility which offers an 80 hour course. The course is intended to give the investigators the experience operating tools and software in the fields of computer forensics and digital media.
Also operating in the California is the National Regional Computer Forensic Laboratories Program, an FBI-backed program. This program offers state-of-the-art resources to all levels of law-enforcement across the country. Running out of San Diego, CA, this lab is one of fourteen in operation across the country.
